A word from our manager
I have worked in care for over 35 years, and from the very beginning I knew that supporting older people was my vocation. Elderly care has always been more than a job to me; it is a privilege to make a positive difference in someone’s day, whether by assisting with personal care, offering reassurance, or simply sharing a conversation over a cup of tea.
One of the most rewarding parts of my work is seeing a person move from feeling quiet or anxious to becoming more relaxed, happy, and cheerful. Over the years, I have learned that care is about much more than practical support, it’s about laughter, companionship, empathy, and being present through both joyful and difficult moments. I believe that if I can help improve the life of even one person each day, then my work has been truly worthwhile.

Our Story
A character building, given a second life
Little Brook House occupies a Grade II listed former farmhouse on Brook Lane in Warsash, on the National Heritage List for England as "Little Brook" since October 1976. Two purpose-built wings were added later, and most residents are accommodated there, while the original house keeps its period detail: a grey brick facade with red brick dressings, sash windows, and oak ceiling beams in several of the rooms.
What matters to residents and families is the part that does not change: the familiar faces, the warm rooms, the unhurried days, and a team who know everyone by name.
